Karan leads client advisory on the strategic use of intellectual property to support technology development, business expansion, and market access. His focus lies in helping organizations structure their IP around product timelines, investment stages, and jurisdictional priorities, ensuring that protection efforts stay aligned with broader business objectives.
Over the past nine years, Karan has worked across sectors to guide the development of multi-country IP portfolios with an emphasis on forward planning and commercial relevance. He has been involved in the grant of more than 1000 patents in India, the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. His approach combines technical understanding with legal clarity, built on a dual background in engineering and law.
He is a registered Indian Patent Agent and is also enrolled with the Delhi High Court. He is a named inventor on patents granted in the US, Australia, and Singapore. This blend of personal and professional experience informs his advisory work, particularly when supporting R&D-led businesses, universities, and founders making early decisions about protecting their innovations.
